Privacy Policy
We keep this simple: you can use YummyMetrics without an account, and we collect as little personal information as we can.
1. Who we are
YummyMetrics (yummymetrics.com, the “Site”) is operated by Vyziotek, Dubai, United Arab Emirates (“we”, “us”, “our”). We are responsible for the personal information described in this policy and act as its “controller” under the data protection laws that apply to us, including the UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data and, where it applies to our visitors, the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Questions about privacy can be sent to info@vyziotek.com.
2. Information we collect
Information you give us
If you use our contact form or email us, we receive the details you provide — typically your name, email address and the content of your message. You choose what to share.
Information collected automatically
- Server logs. Like almost every website, our hosting servers record technical data when you load a page: IP address, browser and device type, the page requested, the referring page, and the date and time.
- Cookies and similar technologies. We and our partners use cookies, local storage and similar technologies as described in our Cookie Policy.
- Analytics data. With your consent where required, Google Analytics collects usage information such as pages viewed, time on page, referring site, device and browser type, and approximate location (country or city, derived from your IP address). We use it in aggregate to see which pages and tools are useful.
- Advertising data. Google and its partners may collect information such as device identifiers, IP address, approximate location and browsing activity in order to show and measure ads (see section 4).
What we don't collect
You don't need an account to use YummyMetrics. Any food searches, recipes you paste into our tools, and filters you set are processed in your own browser; we don't store them on our servers. We don't knowingly collect sensitive information such as health records.
3. How we use information
| Purpose | Information | Legal basis (GDPR) |
|---|---|---|
| Running, securing and fixing the Site | Server logs, essential storage | Legitimate interests |
| Replying to your messages | Contact details, message | Legitimate interests, or steps you ask us to take |
| Showing ads that keep the Site free | Cookies, device and usage data | Consent (where required); legitimate interests for non-personalised ads where permitted |
| Understanding how the Site is used | Usage statistics from Google Analytics (cookies, device and usage data) | Consent (where required) |
| Meeting legal obligations | As needed | Legal obligation |
We don't sell your personal information for money, and we don't use it to make automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.
4. Advertising
YummyMetrics is free because it shows ads served by Google AdSense.
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your previous visits to this Site and other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this Site and/or other sites on the internet.
- You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info or, in Europe, youronlinechoices.eu.
- Learn more about how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
Visitors in the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland are asked for consent before personalised advertising cookies are used. Anyone can change their choice at any time with .
5. Who we share information with
We share personal information only with service providers that help us run the Site, and only as needed:
- Hostinger — website hosting and server logs.
- HubSpot — powers our contact form and stores messages you send through it (EU data region).
- Google — analytics (Google Analytics), advertising (AdSense) and web fonts (Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when fonts load).
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of the Site, in which case this policy will continue to apply.
6. International transfers
Our service providers may process information in countries other than your own, including the United States and the European Union. Where required, transfers are protected by appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent mechanisms offered by those providers.
7. How long we keep information
- Messages you send us: up to 24 months after our last exchange, unless we need them longer to resolve an issue.
- Server logs: kept by our host for a limited period for security and troubleshooting.
- Cookies: for the periods listed in our Cookie Policy.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- access the personal information we hold about you and receive a copy;
- correct inaccurate information;
- ask us to delete your information;
- object to, or ask us to restrict, certain processing;
- receive your information in a portable format;
- withdraw consent at any time, without affecting earlier processing;
- opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information for targeted advertising (for example, under California law).
To opt out of personalised advertising, use Cookie settings. We also treat a Global Privacy Control signal from your browser as an opt-out of personalised ads. For any other request, email info@vyziotek.com. We'll respond within the time required by law and won't treat you differently for exercising your rights.
You can also complain to your local data protection authority — for example, the UAE Data Office, or the supervisory authority in your EU country or the UK Information Commissioner's Office.
9. Children
YummyMetrics is a general-audience site and is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA and UK). We don't knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, please contact us and we'll delete it.
10. Security
The Site is served over HTTPS, and we limit who can access the information we hold. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
Our pages link to other websites. We aren't responsible for their privacy practices, so please review their policies.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date above shows when it last changed. Significant changes will be highlighted on the Site.
