Health Disclaimer
Our numbers help you understand food. They don't replace advice from a professional who knows you.
YummyMetrics is for general information and education only. Nothing on this Site is medical, dietary or nutritional advice, and it does not create a professional relationship of any kind.
Talk to a professional
Always consult a doctor, registered dietitian or other qualified health professional before making significant changes to your diet, especially if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, managing a medical condition, taking medication, planning food for a child, or following a weight-loss or therapeutic diet. Never disregard professional advice or delay seeking it because of something you read here.
Nutrient values are estimates
Our data comes from USDA FoodData Central and represents average values for typical samples. Real foods vary with:
- variety, ripeness, season and growing conditions;
- processing, storage and brand formulation;
- cooking method, added ingredients and how much water or fat is gained or lost;
- how accurately portions are weighed or measured.
Results from our calculators and tools are estimates based on the information you enter and on how ingredients are matched. For exact figures, check the nutrition label on the product you buy.
Allergies and intolerances
YummyMetrics does not provide allergen information and should not be used to decide whether a food is safe for someone with an allergy, intolerance or coeliac disease. Always read product labels and follow your healthcare provider's guidance.
Rankings and “best foods” lists
Lists such as “foods highest in protein” are sorted purely by nutrient content. They are not recommendations to eat more or less of any food, and they don't account for your individual needs.
