Please read these terms before using YummyMetrics. By using the Site, you agree to them.
1. About these terms
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of yummymetrics.com and its pages, tools and content (the “Site”), operated by Vyziotek, Dubai, United Arab Emirates (“we”, “us”, “our”). If you don't agree with these Terms, please don't use the Site. Our Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy and Health Disclaimer form part of these Terms.
2. Using the Site
The Site is free to use and requires no account. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use the Site for your own personal or internal business purposes, in line with these Terms.
We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of the Site at any time, and we don't guarantee that it will always be available or free of errors.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- copy, scrape, harvest or download the Site's content or data in bulk, including by automated means, without our written permission;
- republish substantial parts of the Site, or frame or mirror it, in a way that presents it as your own or competes with the Site;
- interfere with the Site's operation or security, or place an unreasonable load on our servers;
- tamper with, block or misrepresent advertising, or generate fraudulent ad clicks or impressions;
- use the Site for any unlawful, harmful or misleading purpose.
Linking to any page of the Site is welcome, as is quoting small extracts with a link back to the source page.
4. Intellectual property
The Site's design, text, graphics, logo, the YummyMetrics name, software and the selection, arrangement and presentation of its data are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws.
Underlying nutrient values from USDA FoodData Central are in the public domain, and these Terms don't restrict your rights to that public data obtained from the original source. They do apply to our compilation, curation and presentation of it. See Data & Methodology for attribution details.
If we offer embeddable widgets or similar tools, they may come with their own usage terms.
5. Not medical advice
The Site provides general nutrition information for educational purposes only. It is not medical, dietary or nutritional advice and is not a substitute for advice from a doctor, registered dietitian or other qualified professional. 6. Accuracy of information
We work hard to keep our data accurate, but nutrient values are averages from reference databases. Actual values vary by variety, growing conditions, processing, preparation, portion size and brand. Results from our tools, such as the recipe calculator, are estimates. Always check product labels where precise values matter — for example, for allergies or medical diets.
7. Feedback
If you send us suggestions, corrections or other feedback, you agree that we may use it to improve the Site without any obligation to you.
8. Third-party links and advertising
The Site contains advertising and links to other websites. We don't control and aren't responsible for third-party sites, products, services or ads, and including them doesn't mean we endorse them. Your dealings with advertisers are solely between you and them.
9. Disclaimer of warranties
The Site and all content and tools are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied — including warranties of accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement or uninterrupted availability — to the fullest extent permitted by law.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, health outcomes or business, arising from or related to your use of, or inability to use, the Site — even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Because the Site is provided free of charge, our total liability for any claim relating to the Site is limited to USD 100.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, or any rights you have as a consumer that cannot be waived.
11. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify us against claims, losses and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms or misuse of the Site.
12. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Emirate of Dubai and the applicable federal laws of the United Arab Emirates. The courts of Dubai have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them, except where mandatory consumer protection laws in your country of residence give you the right to bring proceedings locally.
13. Changes and general terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date shows the latest version, and continuing to use the Site after a change means you accept the updated Terms. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision isn't a waiver of it. These Terms are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Site.
